Walter Emanuel Jones (born November 30, 1970; age 53) played Rondell Robinson during Season 1 of The Shield. He reprised his role in a flashback episode on Season 2.

Biography and career[]

Walter Jones was born in Detroit, Michigan. He is a practicing martial artist in Taekwondo. Jones began his acting career at the age of 20, with an uncredited role in Beverly Hills 90210, and small appearances in films like White Men Can't Jump and Malcolm X. In 1993, he was cast in the lead role of Zack Taylor, the original "Black Power Ranger", in the series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Jones played the role for 2 years until he left the show due to a contract dispute.

After that, Jones has appeared in numerous TV shows like Malibu Shores, Space Cases, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NYPD Blue, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Prime Suspect. He has also appeared in feature films like Nerd Love, Speed Demons, Man Without a Head, The Dogwalker, and Talisman.
