RonReaco Lee was born in Decatur, Illinois.

Lee began his acting career in 1983 as the host of the short-lived television show Kid's Beat. After that, he appeared in films like The Return of Swamp Thing, Career Opportunities, and Glory. Lee has focused his career mostly on TV. He has had regular and recurring roles on TV shows like Sister, Sister, ER, Girlfriends, Committed, Worst Week, In the Motherhood, The Good Guys, Let's Stay Together, Complications, Survivor's Remorse, The Quad, and The First Wives Club.

In 2018, Lee directed his first short film, titled A Father's Love. The film was co-written by Allen Maldonado, and featured performances by E. Roger Mitchell.
