Porter was the father of Jason, Antwon Mitchell's half-brother.
Before Season 4[]
Mr. Porter was a correctional officer at Chowchilla, where Antwon Mitchell's mother was incarcerated. He got her pregnant, which cost him his job. Porter then started working as a security officer and raised his son, Jason, alone. However, Antwon Mitchell still helped him frequently with mortgage payments, groceries, and even Jason's college tuition.
Season 4[]
When evidence found in Andrei Tretiak's office was traced to Jason Porter, the Strike Team got his address. There, his father said he had no idea where he was. When Lem found a picture of Jason with Antwon, Porter told them about their relationship.
