Maureen Wilmore was a girlfriend of David Aceveda when they were studying at the University of Southern California. She was the daughter of Chester Wilmore.

Before Season 1[]

Maureen and David Aceveda studied together at the University of Southern California, and they started a relationship. According to Aceveda, Maureen was a masochist. One night they were drinking and she asked him to tie her up, pour hot wax on her stomach, and choke her. Aceveda did the first two, but couldn't bring himself to choke her. The next day, he broke up with her.

Some time after that, Mark and Peter, two acquaintances of David who had heard she was a masochist, went to her room and tied her up. They then raped her. This caused Maureen to become obsessed with David, blaming him for her rape. She then started harassing him. One night, she found him and they had a fight. During it, she grabbed a pocketknife from Aceveda's roommate and cut him near the shoulder, leaving a scar. When David still didn't get back with her, she charged him of battery and attempted rape. She was represented by her father's lawyers during the case.

Season 1[]

Fifteen years after the charges occurred, reporter Tereza Varela brought them up to Aceveda while writing an article on him. This prompted him to confess about what happened to his wife, Aurora.

Some time later, David decided to visit Maureen to see if he could convince her not to allow the story. He found her painting at her house, and she told him that Tereza Varela had interviewed her two days ago. She told David that she told Varela about him raping her, but David told her it hadn't happened. However, Maureen told him that after fifteen years, she was still hurting. Maureen told him that all she wanted was an apology, but David refused to, because he felt he hadn't done anything wrong.

At some point, Varela approached Maureen to convince her to record David, and Maureen agreed to do it. Some days after, David returned to Maureen's house to ask her again to tell the truth about the rape. Maureen tried to seduce him, but David rejected her approaches. However, as she approached her again, he took a recording device from her pants. She told him it was Varela's idea, and then confessed to him what had happened with Mark and Peter. As he apologized to her, she threw him out.
