Gene was the son of Phyllis and Frank.

Before Season 1Edit

After his father died, Gene saw his mother, Phyllis, visiting a medium called Frida who allegedly talked with Frank. Gene was angry because his mother spent thousands of dollars in Frida, even taking a second mortgage to pay her. Gene filed a complaint against Frida with the Los Angeles Police Department, but because of the low priority of the case, it was shelved.

Season 1Edit

When Detective Claudette Wyms convinced Dutch Wagenbach to take a low-priority case to take his mind off the serial killer case, they chose Gene's case at random. Gene was taken to the Barn where he testified what Frida was doing to his mother.
